About the Species
The Ostrich, a large flightless bird, is native to Africa and is the largest living species of bird that lays the largest egg of any living bird. They can sprint up to 43 miles an hour and run over distance at 31 miles an hour. Ostrich kicks can kill a human or a potential predator like a lion. Each two-toed foot has a long, sharp claw.
About the Hunt
A very interesting trophy to hunt, very tough and extremely difficult to bring down. A great addition to any trophy room or just to have your own tanned Ostrich leather.
Habitat
Today ostriches are only found natively in the wild in Africa, where they occur in a range of open arid and semi-arid habitats such as savannas and the Sahel, both north and south of the equatorial forest zone.
